Joanne Hoffman, CPA, CFE, MBA

With over 23 years of public accounting experience, Joanne performs traditional CPA services of compilation, review, audit, and tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.  Joanne also conducts forensic accounting, research in financial statement fraud, theft and fraud in corporations.  Joanne joined the firm in September 1999.  She graduated from California State University Fullerton, with a B.A. in Business Administration.  A certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner, Joanne has an M.B.A. from Utica College in Economic Crime and Fraud Management.  Joanne was born in Buffalo, New York and raised in Southern California and enjoys playing golf and attending baseball, basketball and hockey games.  Joanne lives in Claremont with her husband and is active in the community.

Jim Short

Jim Short, CPA.CITP, CVA

With over 34 years of public accounting experience, Jim performs traditional CPA services of compilation, review, audit, and tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Jim also assists with business forensic and valuation services, management consulting, tax and estate planning, personnel planning, and overall cash management issues for non-profit and for-profit organizations. Jim was born and raised in So California and enjoys playing golf and attending baseball, basketball, and hockey games. Jim lives in Claremont with his wife, Jennifer, and has a blended family with four adult children, two whom are married with 3 grandchildren. Jim attends and actively volunteers at Hillside Community Church and is an executive board member with Haynes Family of Programs. Jim currently holds the professional designations of CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CITP (Certified Information Technology Professional), and CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst).

In 2016, he received his Masters of Science in Accounting from Michigan State University. Larry also has experience in accounting, bookkeeping and payroll services. He enjoys writing and creating music, watching sports, and going on tropical vacations with his wife. In June of 2022, Larry passed all four parts of the CPA Exam, and is currently working towards gaining proper experience to receive the professional designation of CPA (Certified Public Accountant). “

Nicholas Beltran

Nicholas performs traditional CPA services of compilation, review, audit, and tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.  He graduated with honors from Citrus College in 2020 with an Associates of Science in Finance and Cal Poly Pomona University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting in 2022.  He started at HSRDS as an Accounting Intern at the beginning of 2022 and was hired full-time as a staff accountant in August 2022. He is currently continuing his education to ultimately receive his CPA and a Master’s Degree in Accounting.  Nick enjoys fishing, golfing, and gaming.

Donna brings over 20 years of administrative and management experience to her role at the firm which she attained while working in the customer service, banking, and real estate appraisal industries. She spends her free time cheering on her daughter who plays volleyball and softball. She also enjoys bowling, attending live concerts and Angels baseball.

Lisa Sandfrey

Lisa Sandfrey

Lisa ensures that clients receive the best possible service. She handles all personal tax client electronic filing and assembly in addition to providing administrative support to our principals. Her prior experience includes Advertiser Services Representative at a Premier Travel publication. She attended the University of California at Berkeley and then transferred to University of California at Los Angeles, where she earned a degree in Sociology.

Daniella Rodriquez

Daniella brings 20 years of administration experience including payroll, accounts receivable, and experience in the banking, construction, and counseling fields. In her free time you can find her with a camera in hand or a pair of running shoes on, as she enjoys photography and running half marathons. She has ran over 20 half marathons, in 5 different states.

Marilyn Taylor

After a career in the mortgage industry as a real estate loan processing manager, Marilyn has her “dream job” as our receptionist. She loves meeting, greeting and talking on the phone to our clients. Outside of work Marilyn is active in her church, Neighborhood Christian Fellowship in Covina, and is on their local board of administration. For more than twenty years she has belonged to LA Fitness and enjoys the various exercise classes offered as well as hiking in the National Parks, whenever possible. Marilyn was born and educated in London, England and lives with her family in Glendora.

Geri Harris

Geri Harris

Geri has been in her current position at the firm since October 2013. She worked for Montgomery Niemeyer full time as an accountant and then manager from 1987 to 1996, during which time she acquired her CPA license. In 1996 she left the work force to raise her children and though occasionally working part time during tax seasons between 1996 and 2013, most of her accounting during that time was for the PTA’s at her daughters’ schools. Currently, Geri is the firm’s controller and payroll manager in charge of processing payrolls and preparing payroll tax returns.
